The brig John of Larne was taken on the 26th March last by the Freedom of Boston John Clewston master. The privateer carried 12 carriage guns 14 swivels and 115 men. Note - This craft was afterwards very active off the Scillys and 2 May 1777 mentions her and the various vessels she captured.
