Dear John I saw a letter
from you to James Moore
enquiring for me I feel obliged
to you and In return I send
you my sinccere thanks for
it Dear John I have come
through some hard trials since
I saw you and rachel But
thank god I was enabled  to
over come them all I am
now in Calfornia and
in good health and I hope
these few lines may find
you all in good health at
home I had a letter from
James [Moore?] to Day and
I had one from John
Moore a few Days Ago they
are all well James is in
Pensylvania [Pennsylvania?]
at Stroudsburgh Monree Co.
[on?] his farm  he and Mary
and the family likes it well
and John Moore is in Mount
Tanna [Montana?] teritory
[territory?] at the gold
Mining  Rachel hunter of
Flanders is well and in
San Francisco California
She is well and a fine  Girl
Clark Hunter I believe is
well I have never saw [seen?]
him James [----?] is well
and living in Armstrong
County pesylvennia [Pennsylvania?].
Give my respects to Archd
[Archibald?] and family and John
Thompson and Martha and family
and also to your oan [own?]
Family and when you wright [write?]
let me know how many Children you
have got.  I will ad [add?] no more
at present but I remain your Afectionate
