the Brig Caroline whereof B [Bartlett?] Weeks is Master,
from Lisbon burthen 252 66/95 Tons and owned by Mr Ayres
of [Hallonek?] and bound to Philadelphia

I, B [Bartlett?] Weeks do solemnly, sincerely, and truly
swear that the Report or Manifest subscribed with my name,
and now delivered by me to the Collector of the District
of Philadelphia, contains, to the best of my knowledge
and belief, a just and true account of all the passengers
which were on board the Brig Caroline at the time of her
sailing from the Port of Lisbon or which have been taken
on board at any time since; that I am at present and have
been during the voyage master of the said vessel.  And I
do likewise swear that all matters whatsoever in the said
Report or Manifest, are to the best of my knowledge and
belief, just and true.

   City of Philadelphia,     )

   I, BENJAMIN W. RICHARDS, Esquire, Mayor of said
City, do hereby require the said B [Bartlett?] Weeks to
pay to the Guardians of the Poor of the City of
Philadelphia, the District of Southwark, and Townships
of the Northern Liberties and Penn, the sum of two
dollars and fifty cents, for each passenger not being a
citizen of the United States, or at the option of the
said Guardians to be bound in a sum not exceeding one
hundred and fifty dollars, for each passenger as above
described, to indemnify and harmless the said Guardians
and their successors from all and every expense or charge,
which shall or may be incurred by them for the
maintenance and support of any such persons born after
such importation, within two years from the date of said
bond.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused
to be affixed the seal of the mayoralty the 3 day of June
