Dear Nephew
        We received your letter on the 4th and
is glad to hear you are doing well We thought
you was dead or left the Country like your Brother
and Never sent us word the Last Account
we had of him was that he was coming
home to dine with us Christmas two years
since, we think he must have happened
some misfortune or other for we have not
heard from since. Your Uncle George
Anderson is dead likewise Tom Kirby. We
are all glad to hear you are dooing [doing?] [Well?]
and in a good situation your Cousin Sam is
married and talks of coming to Manchester
Christmas and if he does he will come to
Preston William & Mary is very well they
Buried George 2 years Last August since they have
one child called Sam 2 years old Sarah Ann
& Joe 2 children Arthur 3 yrs [years?] & Harriet 9 months old
Claras is still living but no better Mary sure
will wright [write?] to you likewise Emma. Clara & Harriet
send their best respects your Uncle & Aunt is
very well but [has?] been very bad [off?] for work We
have left Commerical Street 12 months since.
We one and all send our Best to you and your
Wife and would be verry [very?] glad to see you both in
Sheffield any time you can come Mary Kirby
is living in Sheffield she sends her respects
to you William would like to hear from you
any time he lives at 34 Copper St Gibralter St
Sheffield
        So no more at present from Uncle & Aunt
and great Batch of Cousins
