  Humbly Sheweth
                That the Bearer is a daughter
  to James Meehan of Enagh who are tenants under
  the Sirley [Shirley?] family.  Now the Bearer is anxious of
  going to America.  She is honest industrious &
  well behaved and fervently hopes that your
  honour will assist her to go. by doing
  so I will for ever pray.
