Philadelphia Dec 26th /74

Dear Brother & sister I once more
take up my pen in hand to write to
yous [you?] to let yous [you?] know we are all
well at present hoping at [that?] when
this letter reaches you it will find
yous [you?] enjoying the same blessing Dear
Brother & Sister I think it very strange
at yous [you?] not writing an answer to
my letter It is over 3 months since
I sent it to yous [you?] with my picture in
it and also one to my Aunt Mary
Anne and I was expecting an answer
every day. I hope yous [you?] will answer
this one. Dear Brother & Sister we had
a very merry Christmas here Samuel
and Maggie is on from New York
with us now for the winter Samuel
intends going back to New York again
if he dont get work soon
As for myself I am not working
at present but expects to get into work soon

Johnny was knocked off work about
two weeks ago and has got nothing
to do since Father is working every
day but he had got a very sore leg
with rheumatism Dear Elisa I wrote
to yous [yous?] I was going home to see yous [you?]
& I think It wont be long to it now
if times dont change Sarah is still
on in her place & has three dollars
& a half a week she expects a good
my [many?] Christmas presents but we have
not seen her since Thomas, wife
and baby is well. My Uncle David
Aunt and family is well I was on
at New York a few weeks ago and
my Aunt Eliza wonders at yous [you?] for
not writing to her she says she wont
never write to yous [you?] until yous [you?] write
to her she told me to send yous [you?] her
address [address?] and then yous [you?] would have
no excuse but I think at [that ?] when yous [you?]
dont think worth while writing to me
yous [you?] wont write to her.

Her No is 437 West 17th St
between 9th & 10th Avenue New York
city, Maggie says she will write yous [you?]
a letter in a day or two dont
forget but write to me as soon as this
goes to hand and not let it be like
the last I will send my Aunt a
letter in a few days Remember
me to all my old friends and let
me know how they are all getting all [along?]
