 THIS AGREEMENT, and entered into this 28th day of
February 1913, by and between
 Rev. David Hay - (Representing the [Bank Realty Co.?] of
N. [North?] of Ireland, party of the first part, herein
after called the owner and Freeman & Freeman of the city of
New Orleans, hereinafter called the Purchasers or
second party

WITNESSETH
   First: That for and in consideration of the sum of
One Dollar ($1.00), lawful money of the United States,
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and full aquittance
granted, the Owner does hereby give and grant unto
the Purchasers, his assigns and heirs, the option
to purchase the following descibed property at any
time prior to Wednesday - March 5th, 1913 at
twelve o'clock noon.
               to wit:

The property consisting of about 140 acres - known
as the "Smythe [Smyth?] Tract" - situated in the third
district, this city.

  It is further agreed and understood between the
contracting parties hereto that the price fixed
for the purchase of the property herein descibed
shall be Forty-five thousand [not 100?] Dollars
($45,000)

  Second: The option above granted shall be
irrevocable during the entire period above
mentioned and may be exercised by the Purchasers
or their assigns at any time after this date
and before the expiration of said period.

  Third: The owner obligates himself upon demand
to execute to the Purchasers, or to their
assigns, by proper notorial act with full
warranty and subrogation of warranty, a good,
legal and unencumbered title, free from all
mortgages, liens, privileges of whatsoever
character, to said above property. Act of sale
at cost of purchasers

  Fourth: The option hereby granted by the owner
to the Purchasers may be assigned by the
Purchasers to any other person, firm or
corporation, and upon any such assignment shall
become vested with all the rights of the
Purchaser hereunder.

  Fifth: In the event of Purchase, it also agreed
that the taxes of 1913 are to be paid by the
purchasers -

 It is agreed that in the event of acceptance of
this option by said party of the first part is to
receive as a commission for their service rendered
in securing a purchaser for the property the sum
of ($1,000) one thousand dollars -

  IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto
set their hands the day and date above mentioned
in the city of New Orleans.
