 My darling Mamma:
This is Monday & Rev & Mrs Johnston
announced themselves as callers so D. & [T?]. &
Mary are for the Manse.
It is a bit windy but not cold or wet so I
expect they will come.
I feel fine as usual. David & I went for a
nice long walk yesterday afternoon. We have
had great times together. January is half
through [today?] it won't be long till
Feb [February?] now & old Ma be coming
back to her old hen roost-
I must tell you a hen laid yesterday &
all the rest are looking for nests
so I expect it won't be long till we
have plenty of eggs now. I am overwhelmed
with invitations. If I could accept them
all I never would have had such a fine
time. I have never felt better in my life
& I am in great spirits especially when
I think old Ma coming home soon. I expect
we will have fun over at the Manse
Today - Everything is going on well - I have
almost finished the wee saque I was
crocheting. Hope all the suits will be
won & we will live in peace & plenty the
rest - of our lives
David is very well & looks fine now he sends
his love so goes your devotedly little
                   girl Arthe
