Hon. Jos. E. Ransdell, Senator,
Washington,
D.C.
Introducing the Rev. David Hay.
PEARL WIGHT
402-3 WHITNEY CENTRAL BUILDING
NEW ORLEANS
March 31st, 1913.
Hon. Jos. E. Ransdell,
Senator, -- Washington, D.C.
Dear Senator Ransdell:
I take pleasure in
introducing you, with my strong recommendation,
the Rev. David Hay, son-in-law of Dr. A.W. Smythe,
[Smyth?] formerly of this city.
Mr. Hay visits Washington in the interest of a
claim of Dr. Smythe, and has asked me to give him
the name of some reputable firm of lawyers, who
would look after Dr. Symthe's [Smythe's?] interest
in the matter. I used to have old friends there,
Messrs. Shallberger & Wilson, and I don't know who
succeeded them, but I told him you, no doubt would
know several lawyers of ability who would take up
this case.
Any favors shown Dr. Hay will be greatly
appreciated.
Very truly yours,
Pearl Wight
