always waiting to see if I could buy a vessell [vessel?] I have
bought at last Sch [schooner?] Ada Madoriafrom White [torn] called
the Best Built vessel [-----?] fresh Water She is 6 years old and
carries about 21100 [Rushel?] to Bufflo [Buffalo?] I was offered
$14000 for the Glad Tidings But would  not sell it Sam has sold the
[ya?] of the Enterprise to Lam  [Liam?] Sculley at rate of $3000
Cast down 1000 [Joe ---on?] has sold [----- to ?] [unreadable]
Deacks [Decks?] and Deck frame on the [other?] vessels so high in
price this winter It has been very cold the [this winter?] The
[They?] have got nothing done as yet with the vessel Ada Madoria so
In [Toledo?] with Black wallnoh [walnut?] for  [Agdeus  Furg?] she
is full sized Camale vessele [vessel?] Sam and Mrs  is in good
health I was sick about one week with giddiness in  the head I was
vessele [vessel?] Huirting [hunting?] about 8 weeks and   it has to
[Jaelag?] for Me Bella is in good health the  children is sick with
Hooping [whooping?] Cough William think it is about time to start we
have a good deal of work to do we have not  got them scaped

[torn]  law as 22 Bella say she is sorry to  here [hear?] by your
letters of all the old maids and young widdows [widows?] being
married before you got home I had a letter from my sister Betty last
week you can give her my best respects she says [--?] of her letter
of that there is an old accquanitance [acquaintance?] of mine by
[---?] called Adrew [Andrew?] Harper you might call and see him and
if he wants any company & if you can spare give him 1œ for me [from
me?] mabey [maybe?] his famely  [family?] is able to take care of
him use your own judgement in the case Give my Kindest Wishes to
your [wife?] and sister and famely [family?] Like[---?] Bella to
remember [the?] all my acqaintances and when you [torn] dont forget
[Ivan?] Donaldson [torn] The Folks in Bridgeport are all in good
health I am about selling out mostyour property he is offered $3000
cash $1300 Down Ballanced  [balanced?] in one year I hope you had a
pleasant time of it  at home you sister Nancey is in good health she
was here about  3 weeks back We all join in send you our kindest
