I Ebenezer Elmer Collector of the District of Bridgetown New
Jersey do certify that John Ball Master of the Ship Arab
made this Report & the above oath before me this day, & in
consequence of the situation of the Ship he has permission
to lighten the Ship by taking out so much of the cargo as may
be necessary to get her afloat, & to take her with all the Cargo
to Philadelphia the Port to which he is bound.
 Witness my hand at the Custom House Novr. 13th 1828

I  John Ball do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following
Report or Manifest subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me
to the Collector of the District of Philadelphia contains, to the best
of my knowledge and belief, a just  and true account of all the
passengers which were on board the Ship Arab at the time of her
sailing from the port of Liverpool or which have been taken on board
at any time since; that I am present and have been during the voyage,
master of the said vessel. And I do likewise swear that all matters
whatsoever in the said Report or Manifest are, to the best of my
knowledge and belief, just and true.
