CLEARING OF THE OCEAN MONARCH, FOR NEW YORK- On
Saturday, Messrs. Sabel and Searel, cleared the
fine well-known favourite ship, Ocean Monarch,
from Liverpool, for New York, with about 500
passengers, all of whom seemed respectable in
their position, and were well dressed persons.
The vessel looked in fine trim, and her internal
arrangements were in "apple pie order". The
berths were excellently clean, roomy, and well
ventilated; everything met approbation of
Government emigration and medical officers,
indeed it could not be otherwise, as there was
nothing left undone to render the passengers
"healthy" and comfortable. The provisions
also were inspected and approved of in quality
and quantity. - Northern Times.
