Page 128 [stamp] PORTRUSH 4 PM 10 APR 1935 A. Albert Campbell Esq 4 Waring St Belfast Page 129 Dhu Varran Park, Portrush April 10, 1935 My dear Albert, I had a letter from MacGrath & Son dated April 4 asking me to fill up a form granting Judge Henderson Power of Attorney and saying you had completed the form. I could and [?] to get to a [?] Public. As I am 84 years of age & suffering from many of the disabilities of old age. I have not been able to go down to Portrush for many months, and I have no hope of any improvement. The Dublin firm on receiving my refusal wrote & spoke of the possibility of “the [?]” coming to me. Now I wish you would tell me what exactly a Power of Attorney is and what further risk we would have to take & what it means in the way of personal expense. I know you are a busy man and I do not like to bother you but I know you will help me I really am not fit for new engagements. I know what Charlotte’s death meant to you and Mrs Campbell. It was, as you may guess a great blow to me. With kindest regards to you both I am affectionately yours Hugh MacCulloch. Transcribed by Brian McCroryClose
