Charlotte M Mac Culloch to Albert Campbell 20 May 1932. Page 54-56
Page 54 May 20th 1932 My dear Albert Thank you for interesting letter and enclosures. I’m so sorry to hear of Lily’s cold but hope she is better by now. I sent your letter on to Margaret Johnson today, and said that as you were the head of the Clan in Ireland I thought Charles Clarke should have at least consulted you. I know if the Johnsons can they will get a copy of that Deed. I copied Grandfather’s entries out for you so you shouldn’t have the trouble of returning them. Do you notice that he Page 55 & 56 has not “Kyle”[?] in your father’s name? (In) One of his old letters to mother, I came across lately he said in reference to ‘genie o’ name “ Virginia Mary” that “he didn’t like double names”!! Anna says that grand father was living in Letterbratt by himself for some time before his marriage, and that great grandmother used to lend him a man to work, stipulating that he should only be given a certain quality of whiskey! With Love to both from both Yours ever affectly Charlotte M. Mac Culloch Transcribed by Brian McCroryClose
