Side 1 396 St.Antoine St Montreal Easter Saturday My Dear Bella Just a few lines in answer to your kind and ever welcome letter which I recieved [received?] allright [alright?] some time ago I was more than glad to hear from you and to hear of your mother & Johny & yourself being well I mind well this night 12 months I was at the well and I went up to your house and as always I was not right in of the door to [until?] Side2 Aggie was over for me to go home with the water I hope Ma & Da is well I know the [they?] must feel lonely at these set times But I hope It will not be many Easters to we are home again But Im [I'm?] glad to say that we both like Montreal very much. I never thought we would like it so so well. Barney William has been very sick for a long time & he is very little better but I think he has the worst of it over him Side3 I had a letter from Maggie Hughes the other day and her Photo she looks well how is the fun doing I suppose Its [It's?] dull enough.
