On Saturday the Amazon privateer of 14 guns Robert
Moore master, fitted out at this port, fell down the
river to deep water and will be ready very shortly to
proceed on a cruise. She sailed from the Key [Quay?]
with the muted acclamations of a great number of
spectators who were present on the occasion. She is
well found and an exceedingly good sailer, from which
later circumstances and the spirit of the crew, there
is every reason to expect her being successful.
An advertisement says : - The gentlemen sailors that
have engaged to go on this cruise are desired to be in
Belfast on Monday the 14th inst.
