Land in /raö/zö, and rendenng the incomes ansing trom lithes in and preventing con-irete</, more certain in amount, and more easy of collection, and of ^üh^es "* ***° avoiding controversies respecting the same, it is expedient that provision should be made for the authorizing Compositions to be made for Tithes there, to endure for a time to be limited ; 

aBQ£ ft tfierefore flfrtacteö by The KING's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, i o and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority 

of the same, THAT at any time after the passing of this Act, it shall be lawful for the Lord Lieutenant, or other chief governor or governors of Jre/öw^, upon the application of the rector, vicar or other ecclesi-astical ineumbent, or of any impropriator or other person or persons 15 entitled to any tithes or portion of tithes, or of any Five or more ofthe 

owners or oecupiers of land, each holding or possessing lands of the yearly value (if owners) or at the yearly rent (if oecupiers) of not less than Twenty pounds, in any parish in /rtf/ararf, to give orders and di-rections from time to time, when and as such Lord Lieutenant, or other 20 chief governor or governors shall think proper, to the churchwardens 

of any such parish, such Orders and directions to be signified to such churchwardens by the chief secretary to the Lord Lieutenant, or other chief governor or governors of Tretet, or in his absence by the under secretary, that a special vestry shall be assembled in such parish, to pro-25 ceed in carrying into execution the purposes of this Act, and that such 

vestry shall be composed ofsuch persons occupying land within such parish, who shall during the last preceding year, or the last preceding year but one, ending on the First day of November yearly, have paid the highest 363.
