BY the above Account it appears there was laid on the County of Cavan, the Sum of Forty-nine Thoufand One Hundred and Fifty-nine Pounds Twelve Shillings and Three-pence Halfpenny ; of which, One Thoufand One Hundred and Thirty-fix Pounds Eleven Shillings ar.d 
Sixpence, was for the Ufe of the Cavan Battalion of Militia and their Wives, exclufive of a Cefs laid on the feveral Parifhes in the County at Lent Affizes 1797, according to the Population of each Parifh, by Veltties in each Pariih, and paid Col. 
Barry, by each Parifti; which did not go through the Tiecfurer's Hands, or was not laid on by the Grand Jury.
