COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS, IRELAND. 
33 Gully Drainage District, Queen's County.—The 
question of compensation referred to in^fast year's Report was considered, and it was decided to go again on the ground and restore some old fencing which had been found in a very imperfect and damaged condition when the works were started. 
This was done at a cost of about £259, and the whole district reported complete and in good order in October last. 
Brickey Drainage District, Co. 
Waterford.—Complaint 
was made of the con¬ dition of this district in the early part of the year, and an inspection was made in June, when it was found to be in a very neglected condition, and the works necessary to place it in proper order were estimated to cost £500. 
As the Drainage Board had died out, and the Board were advised there were no means of reviving it, steps were taken to bring about the transfer of the powers of the Drainage Board to the Waterford County Council under section 20 of the Local Government (Ire¬ land) Act, 1898. 
These, however, proved ineffectual, and the complaint therefore remains undealt with. 
Inny Drainage District, Counties Longford and Westmeath.—Restoration 
works in this district, estimated to cost £1,700, were put in hand in October last. 
They were stopped by winter floods, and were resumed in the Spring. 
Cashen Drainage District, Co. 
Kerry.—The 
Board's attention having been directed to the neglected condition of this district an inspection was ordered and an estimate submitted in June last for its restoration at a cost of £860. 
As the Diainage Board appears to have expired further action in the matter is postponed for the present. 

Galway Mills.

Further complaints having been made as to the condition of the eastern conduit headrace, an inspection was made in August, 1905, and the Trustees for the Lough Corrib Drainage District, who are responsible for the proper maintenance of chis waterway, were requested to remove the obstructions which had accumulated in it. 

Fishery Piers and Harbours Maintenance.

The condition of the boatslip at Malinbeg, Co. 
Donegal being dangerous, and the County Council having neglected to take any action towards its repair, the Board were authorized by His Excellency the Lord Lieutenant to put the necessary works in hand under the above Act. 
A start was made on the repairs on 30th October, and they were finally completed on 14th December last and the work left in good condition. 

Portrush Harbour, County Londonderry. 
The Kingstown sand pump dredger was hired for a period to the Harbour Company and excavated a quantity of 23,000 tons from their harbour. 

Courtown Harbour, Co. 
Wexeord. 
The smaller Kingstown dredger was hired for a period to the Harbour authorities and excavated a quantity of 3,000 tons from this harbour.
