West Gate Ward. 
Six Councillors. 

a straight Line to Low Water Mark(n), Left Bank of the River; thence diagonally across the River, down Stream to a Sluice (12), where a small Stream enters the River and the Parliamentary Borough crosses; thence to the South End of Mr. 
Ball's House, Ball's Grove (13); thence to the Junc¬ tion of a Lane coming from the South with the Road to Navan and the Black Lion, near a Stone Quarry, and about Two hundred and fifty Yards South of the River (14); thence in a straight Line to Levan's Bridge (15); thence keeping the course of the Brook, Westerly, to Cooley Bridge (16) ; thence in a straight Line to the South-east Angle of the Boundary Wall of St. 
Mary's Churchyard, being part of the Old Town Walls (17) ; thence in a straight Line to the Dublin Road, at the Point of Junction with a Lane running North from Cromwell's Mount (18); thence in a straight Line to the East End of Mr. 
Wier's new House, on the Road to Morningtown (19); and thence across the River to the Point first described. 
The Population within the restricted Limits will amount to about 17,000. 
This Borough will require Three Wards and Eighteen Councillors. 
The Wards into which this restricted District may be best divided, in my opinion, are as follows:— 

West Gate Ward : Commencing at the Borough Boundary (8) on the North Road; and thence in a South-easterly direction, down the Centre of the North Road to its in¬ tersection with Fair Street; thence, Easterly, down Fair Street to its inter¬ section with Scholes Lane; thence, Southerly, down Scholes Lane to its intersection with West Street; thence, Easterly, down West Street to its in¬ tersection with Shop Street; thence, Southerly, down Shop Street, over the Bridge, up Bull Ring to its intersection with Barrack Lane; thence, South¬ westerly, up Barrack Lane, past the Barracks, to its intersection with Duleck Street; thence up Duleck Street to the Borough Boundary at Cooley Bridge; thence, Westerly, round the Borough Boundary across the River, keeping the Boundary to the Point first namech The whole of the Area within this Line to form West Gate Ward. 

Fair Gate Ward: Commencing at the Borough Boundary on the North Road as before, and Fair Gate Ward, coming in a South-easterly direction, down the Centre of the North Road to Six Councillors. 
its intersection with Fair Street; thence, Easterly, down Fair Street to its intersection with Scholes Lane ; thence, Southerly, down Scholes Lane to its intersection with West Street; thence, Easterly, down West Street to its intersection with Peter Street; thence, Northerly, up Peter Street 10 where it meets the Ends of William Street and Fair Street; thence, Easterly, down William Street to its intersection with Palace Street; thence, Northerly, up Palace Street to its intersection wdth Scarlet Lane ; thence, Easterly, down Scarlet Lane to the Borough Boundary (3); thence, Westerly, round the Borough Boundary to the Point first named on the North Road. 
The whole of the Area within this Line to form Fair Gate Ward. 

St. 
Lawrence Gate Ward: Commencing at the West End of St. 
Lawrence Street, where that Street, st. 
Lawrence Gate Peter Street, West Street and Shop Street, all meet; thence, Northerly, up Ward. 
Peter Street till it meets the Ends of Fair Street and William Street; thence, Six Councillors. 
Easterly, down William Street to its intersection with Palace Street; thence, Northerly, up Palace Street to its intersection with Scarlet Lane; thence, Easterly, down Scarlet Lane to the Borough Boundary (3); thence, Southerly, along the Borough Boundary crossing the River, and continuing the Boun¬ dary to Cooley Bridge (16); thence, Northerly, down Duleck Street, keep¬ ing the Eastern Boundary of West Gate Ward, to the intersection of Shop Street, Lawrence Street and Peter Street, being the Point first named. 
The whole of the Area within this Line to form St. 
Lawrence Gate Ward.
