and second years of the reign of His present Majesty, intituled, " An Act for the Extension and Improvement of Public Works in Ire¬ land," certain persons are constituted and appointed Commissioners for 5 the execution of such Act: 

And whereas the public Roads in various'parts of Ireland are kept in repair by or at the expense of the owners or occupiers of lands in the counties through which such Roads respectively run, upon Present¬ ments made by ihe Grand Juries of such respective counties : lp And whereas a Bill is in progress in Parliament for the more effec¬ 

tual relief of the destitute Poor in Ireland: And whereas it would tend to the better and more convenient em¬ ployment of the Poor in Ireland if District Boards were established in various parts of that country, and if the Roads were repaired under */> the inspection of such Boards, and if other powers, were given to such
