Dear Albert
I thank you for your sensible
and prompt reply to my letter, and have pleasure
in enclosing your fee. I shall sign this paper
before the Consul tomorrow if all is well.
You have used the right word about Charlotte’s
death. I have never felt anything more acutely,
and can at times [?] take it in that she has
gone.
Lucy is recovering from her chill, and Mar-
garet is staying with her. [?] was with
her for the first three weeks. Your kindly re-
ference to them has gratified me greatly.
Is there no prospect of our meeting Lily and
you? I have not been out of the house except
a run to Ballyarton for years ,so I would
can you not come and see me sometime.
Gratefully yours
Ellen
