Mr William Irvine
        Mier. Ind

Dear Uncle;

This is one of several attempts I have made to write
to you during the Winter but it seems that I always get
interrupted in one way or another. Every year I seem to be
more busy and to have less time to spare than the last
We have had a very busy season at the store and I have
had all the work I could possibly take care of, so when
evening comes I am too tired to either read or write and I do
not even get a chance to read the newspaper only to glance
over the headings and as a result I have neglected to write
letters as often as I should or as I would like.
I was very sorry to learn through aunt Sarah's letter that
you had been so sick during the Winter and I sincerely hope
that you have fully recovered your health ere this.
The weather here has been very mild most of the time but
we are getting some cold weather now. Today has been the
coldest of the season - four degrees above. We have only
had one 2 hour storm that could be called a storm, the other
two as three being simply flurries as I like the warm
weather best it has visited me to have so little cold.
Whenever I see Mrs Daly she always asks for
Aunt Sarah and sends her love she has been sick
several times lately but nothing serious
Will and [Frank?] [Goldthait?] were in to see me
yesterday for a few minutes and I was very glad to see them
Last fall when there were such cheap trips to New
York I expected to see some of the [Marion?] folks and
we thought Aunt Rebecca or Sadie would come on to
see us but we were disappointed . However we hope to see
some of the folks sometime in the future.
The folks in New Buffalo Mich seem to think I will
be out there again this Summer but it is too far off to
plan for vacation trips now.
Our family has had very good health this Winter
so far none of us have even had colds but there is still
plenty of time to suffer from colds and kindred troubles.
The family all join me in love to Aunt Sarah
and all the folks and write best wishes for your own
good health.

                    Your Loving Nephew,
                      George Hayes Farrelly
