With joy I
welcome the glad New
Year and hasten to offer
you my heartfelt wishes.
May God grant you
health and peace, yes
everthing that can
make happy (sic).
May the sweet Infant
Saviour bless you,
and grant all my wishes
for your welfare.
Fervently will I implore
the Divine Child Jesus
to spare for many, many
years to come, the life of
my dear nephew, and his
dear, good wife Dorothy.
And especially give you
good health in the New Year,
because that is surely one
of the greatest benefits in
this life.
Please dear William and
Dorothy, accept these
