               Dear Uncle, Aunt Grandmother
& cousin I take the pleasure of
writing to yous [you?] a few lines to let
you all know that I am well
hoping that on reaching yous [you?] they
will find yous [you?] all in good health
& happy. I was up to see mother
this morning & saw the letter
secured from you which I was
glad to read but very sorry
to hear of Sister Eliza Jane
being dead but I hope it is
for the best. Well my dear friends
all I hope to see yous [you?] all pretty
soon as I intend to go there on
my wedding tour, & I am
going to get that little performance
done pretty soon now

Mother joins me in sending
her & all the rest of the familys
respects. Uncle David, Wife &
family is all well. Aunt Eliza
& family is all well she is on
here now on a visit. Well my
dear friends I have not got much
more to say at present but the
next time I write I will tell
you a great deal more as I
will have more to say but I
think the next letter will be
myself, so please write as soon as
ever you get this & let me know
how yous [you?] are all getting along.
I will now close by sending my
love to yous [you?] all in the kindest
manner Good bye.
