I take the libarty [liberty?] of wright [writing?]
you a few lines to let you
no [know?] that I am still alive
I sent you a letter last
fall to east [Sugust?] but
I suppose you was left there
I got no answer to it
so I had a mind to lave [leave?]
here at that time so before
[I?] got laving [leaving?] here I took the
favor [fever?] and ague and after [afterwards?]
I took [tefort?] favor [fever?] and I
was so bad I did not belive [believe?]
that ever I would see you
any more I was atended [attended?]
by doctors all winter up to
know [now?] so I am prety [pretty?] well
at presant [present?] but not abel [able?]
to work yet so it took
about all the mony [money?] I
had to pay all bills
so I thought I would wright [write?]
to you to see if you
would send me a few dollars
that would help me along
for a little while if you
like to send it I will thank
you very mutch [much?] but if you
do not send it wright [write?]
