Dear Matty                    New York 2nd April 1788
           Since writing you the 5th past I remain
without hearing from you, the Feby [February?] Mail
being not yet arrived, I expect in the Course
of this Month Mr Sadler will arrive from
the people in Ireland in consequence of what
he wrote them & Mr Campbell full directions to make a final
Settlement, when I shall have all my other
affairs ready to leave in the Hands of Mr Hugh
Gain, however more of that in my next. I have
not yet renewed the money for the two Bonds
I mentioned to you. Youl [you will?] be so good to desire
Mr Norris to send Two Dozen of [Ladies?] [Kid?] [Gloves?]
such as he sent last one half dozen colourd [coloured?] the

others which by very first oppy [opportunity?], While they
are for Doctor Chandlers Lady therefore dont
neglect it, as I dont write him at present.
I expect to hear from him by
the next pacquet when I shall write you
again & am with Love to you & Sisters & Molly
