The Petition of Catherine Walch late of
         Cloghvalley Lower
Humbly Sheweth
That your Petitioner is the Daughter of Patrick
Walch late of Cloghvally Lower who in his life time held 16 Acres
of Land under your Honour, for upwards of 50 years, and allways [always?]
paid his Rent regularly up to the time of his Death, at which time he
devided [divided?] his Farm between his Two Sons, one of whom Died, the
other went to America, in consequence of which my Sister and
Myself were unable to manage the Land, & it got into Arrears
an Ejectment was served. Myself and my Sister offered to
pay the Rent to Your Bailiff Thos [Thomas?] Finegan for the Portion which
we held, but it would not be received without the whole
which we were unable to pay. Now my Good and Respected
Landlord all I ask from you is to give to me, (a poor
destitute Female who never Married), a House and Garden
at whatever Rent you may think proper-I am now
advanced in Years without Father or Mother, Sister or
Brother to do any thing for me-I understand there is such
Vacant in Leons, & if not, any place you please-for nearly
30 years I was the principal means of paying the Rent
as my Parents were both very old-and as in Duty bound
will ever Pray that Devine [Divine?] Providence may spare you
& Your Family long life & good Health-
Catherine Walch
late of Cloghvally Lower
