Dear dear Margret
It is with sorrow
I sat down to let you
Know of the death of my
eldest daughter Annie
she died peacefully at 2
oclock [o'clock] on Sunday
afternoon the 22 of November
after a short ilness [illness?] of only
one week you will see
on the Doctor paper hur [her?]
complent [complaint?] Mr Grove dune [done?] all
he could for Annie

She left I beby [baby?] to her
loss
your Ant [Aunt?] was with Ann
all the time
Rev Dr Drummond
of the Episcopel [Episcopal?] Church
was with Annie before
she died
and she was brought
to the Church and then
to Oakmound
