Dear Thos [Thomas?]
I rec'd yours of the 10th of August
and in reply beg to say that I considder [consider?] you
have no wright [right?] to stop my money on the hear [?]
assertion of any of the legatees who do not understand
the matter or they would not talk as they do
Dose [Does?] the will bind me to pay the purchase of
the ground Rent of the Houses you have since
the [they?] will and must be aware that it dose [does?] not
the purchase of the ground of the Houses was a
debt due by our father and we as Executors
have a wright [right?] to pay that debt out of the
money and being a debt due to our father
besides at the time of the purchase there was
an understanding between my father and
the assigneuse that the purchase of the ground
Rent of the Houses in Dungannon was to stand
over to it would be paid out of the first dividend
of Mr Harringtons property and Mr Atkinson
might cullect [collect?] it will as he was in Dungannon
at the time of sale and heard of this agreement
between the assignees and my father but because
Jas & I consented to pay it rather than have our
property sold for it when there was no word of
a dividend but now when a dividend has
been paid we as the Executors of our father have
a wright [right?] to pay it out of the proceeds being
a debt of our fathers and knowing that it
was our fathers Intention that it should be
paid out of the proceeds from Mr Harringtons
Estate I have had a great deal of trouble
in getting my port but it is well since I was
far off - or I should have had it before
now you paid all the rest of the legatees
without any stop and you have an equal
wright [right?] to pay me the disappointment has
caused me some trouble and I have suffered
enough since I came here without any more
and will now thank you to pay the ballance [balance?]
coming to me to Mr Wm Robson for which his
Receipt will be sufficient the will states that
the expence [expense?] attending the proving shall be born
equally by my sons Wm [William?], Jas and John and my daughter
Anna and you have divided the expence [expense?] between
Wm [William?], Jas & John but I must go farther and to say
that I think all the Legatees have a right to pay
an equal part of the aditional [additional?] probate
with respect to what you say not being safe in
paying me the ballance [balance?] to you would know
how it was respecting the purchase of the Houses
if any thing was wrong the Legatees could not come on the
Executors - but I hope I have now explained
the matter to your satisfaction so as that I may
not have any more disappointment in receiving
what is coming to me. I am glad to hear
your health is better wishing you a continuation
of the same
