Transcribed from the Belfast Newsletter of 20 Mar 1795. Contains a letter to the sovereign with a memorial from the merchants, traders and linen drapers, asking him to approach Earl Fitzwilliam, that a ship of force should be stationed in the harbour for the protection of their ships. An application had already been made to the Lords of the Admiralty, so send a sufficient protection to the Harbour of Belfast.
