                      I now
take the Pleasure of
writing those few lines
to you hoping that you are well
as it leaves me well at
Present I have been helping
that sister of mine to
put down Carpets she just
got through Cleaning
house to day Annie I
dont think I ever felt
so bad in my life before
as I did the evening we
parted I think just as
much of you as I do my
Sister well Annie I want
you to answer this letter
as quick as you can and
let me know if you
have heard from that best
girl of mine that his [is?]
