Kingstown sand pump dredger was let for a period to the Donegal County Council for the purpose of trying her powers on the bed of the Harbour alongside this pier, and succeeded in excavating a quantity of about 8,000 tons.

Further action is postponed pending receipt of instructions.
Westport Harbour, Co.

Sligo Harbour, Co.
Sligo.—A
free grant of £20,000 towards the improvement of Sligo Harbour was sanctioned by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury at the end of 1907, and the Harbour Commissioners were requested to submit plans and estimates of the proposed works which are to be carried out by them.
