Position of the Sea Fisheries Fund. 
£250,000 was provided by this Act from the Irish Church Fund for building and improving Fishery Piers and Harbours. 
The balance of this grant—£3,000, which had remained in the hands of the Irish Land Commission, was drawn in September, 1906, to meet the requirements of the service. 
The following contributions in aid of works were received in the year :—

Six of the ten Marine Works referred to in our last report have now been completed at a total cost of £15,325 15s. 
9d. 
and other schemes are nearing completion. 
The only new work undertaken during the past year was the construction of a boat slip at Falcorrib, County Donegal, estimated to cost £1,000. 
It has been decided that the question of further expenditure on works at Newbridge, County Donegal, to which reference was made in our last report, must stand over, and the suggested scheme at Inishlyre, County Mayo, has not yet been brought within the provisions of the Act.
