Summary.—Twenty
ships have been dispatched in the two years from May, 1848, to April, 1850, witlj Orphan Girls from Workhouses in Ireland, as Emigrants to the Australian Colonies.
Of these vessels, 11 were dispatohed from time to time to Sydney, conveying 2,253 Emigrants ; 6 to Port Philip, conveying 1,253 Emigrants; and 3 to Adelaide, conveying 808 Emigrants.
Total of such Emigrants to Australia, 4,114, iPie remaining 61 (from the Wexford Union) were sent out to the Cape of Good Hope.
