Altnagelvin,
Londonderry
15th April, 1935

Dear Albert,

I had your letter and en-
closures this morning.

Now if you lived in Derry, and took our bread[?]
(which I hope you would!) we would expect
to be paid for it, no matter how strongly we
felt the ties of kinship ,so I see no reason why
professional transactions should not be
similarly dealt with. However I accept your
valuable advice; and hope Providence will
spare you to enjoy the inheritance we are look-
ing for. I am in my seventieth year and can-
not expect to see much of it by all appearance
but I did anticipate the comfort of putting up
a tablet “In memory of Ann , Robert and Hugh
Campbell of Aughelane”, over an enclosed
bed in the Tyrone County Hospital, and an-
other in our own City Infirmary in memory
of my brother John. However if funds permit
my heirs will carry out these wishes.

I hope Lily and you are both well, and
with affectionate regards.

I am
Your cousin
Ellen
