to think I was forgetting

coming near Xmas [Christmas?]&  I would
and I wanted to write you

Well I had a letter from home
And Johns [Johns?] photo in it I
can tell you we were glad to
see it the [they?] said the  [they?] were
sending us Johns [Johns?]letter but
the [they?] must have forgot as we
did not get it  Well I hope your 
mother & Johny is well Im
shure  [Im sure?] yous  [you?] will be all lonely
at xmass [Christmas?]. I often think our house
must be awful I just wish
xmass  [Christmas?] was over I know we will 
think It lonely enough

lace and It keeps us from
thinking long.  How is the fun 
doing or do yous [you?] still have 
Patrick Mc Killen  Teresa & 
me was just talking last night 
about the time we used to run 
after him he used to be mad to 
see James Pat and is running 
in after him  I hope we will
 be all spared to have them
 good times again  Thats all
frets me for fear anything would
happen any of them but I hope
God will spare us all to meet 
                       again
