Dear John

               I am sure you will be
surprised to have a few lines from
me but do not think I forgot yous [you?]
as I have only been lazy this last 
while Well anyhow how are yous [you?]
all doing and what sort of a
time had yous [you?] on the 17th of March
We had a wonderful time over hear [here?]
as it was broad cast [broadcast?]on the 
Radio all the old Irish songs and plays
in fact they celebrate it more over
hear [here]?than thair [there?] well I suppose
they have a good write [right?] to as it 
was their Mother land. When you
thing [think?] that their[there?] is only 41/2 Million
people in Ireland& that their [there?] is
 about 43 Million Irish desent [descent]? over hear [here?]
So I [it?] is no wonder they celebrate it
Well John you were to buy me a
Gallon of Good old Irish whisky [whiskey?]
when I was to get married so you

have a jolly old time together

of a winter had yous over

 down drops we had a very

all my old Girl Friends
