Dear Cousin Mary Ann

  I hope that you are
well I was A long time
Answering your letter
I was going to leave the
city And live in the country
and that was why I did not
rite [write?] to you this has been A
very wet winter here It rains
most of the time
   I have A very pleasant
place here And biger [Bigger?] wages
it is in they Countrey [Country the
have 3 children And I take
Care of the youngest She
is 3 years old I hope that
your mother is well And I

to the rest of my friends. When

how Patrick Heron is if he
has not John And Jane home
yet And I want to know
if you have got a sweethart [sweetheart?]

of John Sinclairs looks like
if she is very pretty Sams Wife
