Ship City of Manchester, Liverpool to Philadelphia.

Departure of the Screw Steam Ship City of Manchester.
- On Wednesday the above screw steam-ship left the Mersey
at two o'clock in the afternoon, for Philadelphia, with
upwards of forty passengers and a very full cargo, chiefly
of Manchester and Sheffield goods.  The salute fired at
her departure was generally mistaken for that of the
incoming steamer (the Arctic), which however, though 24
hours overdue, has not yet arrived.
