to call before them all who pretend title to the lands lately escheated by the attainder of the earl of Desmond and others, to receive their claims in writing and thereof to make a register; to consider how the claims may be answered, ancl thereof to make another book, to be ready for other commissioners who shall after visit the province ; as it is expected that the proofs to be tendered by the lords and free¬ holders of the province will consist chiefly of depositions of witnesses, the commissioners are to appoint a wise person to take the depositions on oath, and to digest them into gooct form for the information of the future commission. 
They are also to consider disputes between undertakers relative to the bounds of seigniories and other matters, and if they cannot determine'them to refer them to the lord deputy and council; also to make inquisition what seigniories, rents, and other profits are due to the queen within the province, upon whom they are due, and who has received such rents since the attainder of the earl, and thereof to make a perfect book or register.—22
