Provisional Orders. 29


Town Commissioners of the borough of Coleraine, for the purpose
of certain works for supplying the town with water, to put in
force the powers of the Lands Clauses Acts with respect to the
purchase and taking of land otherwise than by agreement for the
purpose of purchasing, taking, diverting, and conveying the water
of certain springs, wells, and streams therein mentioned, and also
for the purpose of taking and acquiring certain land required for
a reservoir, and other necessary works, and certain other lands
therein described, and also for the purpose of acquiring the right to
convey water in a main pipe out from the reservoir to the public
road, and passing through certain fields therein mentioned, and
continuing and maintaining the said pipe along the public road as
therein described, and of extending, laying down, and maintaining
the said main pipes, with branch service and other pipes, and
necessary fittings through the streets, lanes, and bridges of the
town of Ooleraine.


A provisional order, dated 1st June, 1876, authorizing the
guardians of the poor of Dungannon Union, for the purpose of
providing a supply of water for the town and district of
Dungannon, to put in force the powers of the Lands Glauses Acts
with respect to the jDurchase and taking of lands otherwise than
by agreement, with reference to certain lands, premises, water-
rights, easements, powers, and other rights therein mentioned.


A provisional order, dated 1st June, 1876, authorizing the
guardians of the poor of Coleraine Union, for the purpose of pro¬
viding a supply of water for the town of Portrush, to put in force
the provisions of the Lands Clauses Acts in respect to the purchase
and taking of lands otherwise than by agreement in reference to
the lands, lands covered with water, water-rights, easements, other
rights and powers therein mentioned.


A provisional order, dated 1st June, 187G, exempting from the
operation of the " Waterford Water Act, 1871," all portions of the
borough of Waterford lying north of the river Suir.


A provisional order, dated 2nd March, 1877, authorizing the
guardians of the poor of Belfast Union, for the purpose of pro¬
viding a supply of water for the town and district of Holywood,
to put in force the provisions of the Lands Clauses Acts, with
respect to the taking of lands, otherwise than by agreement, in
reference to the lands—lands covered with water, water-rights,
easements, and other rights therein referred to.


25. In the following cases we have received petitions for pro¬
visional orders, but the proceedings have not yet terminated:—


From the Board of Guardians of Strabane Union for power to
put in force the provisions of the Lands Clauses Acts with respect
to the purchase and taking of land, otherwise than by agreement,
with a view to providing a supj^ly of water for the town and dis¬
trict of Strabane.


From the Board of Guardians of Rathdown Union, for power to
put in force the provisions of the Lands Clauses Acts with respect
to the purchase and taking of land, otherwise than by agreement,
with a view to providing a supply of water for the town of Grey-
stones
