TOWNS IMPROVEMENT ACT (IRELAND). 

RETURN to an Order of the Honourable The House of Commons, 

dated 4 June 1855 ;—for, 

RETURN " showing the Towns in Ireland that have Elected Town Commissioners under the Provisions of the Towns Improvement Act of last Session, stating the Names and Qualifications (as required by the Act) of each Commissioner, and stating in what instances the Lord Chancellor of Ireland has appointed the Chairman of such Commissions a Justice of the Peace for the Town, and in what instances, if any, he has appointed a Commissioner, not being Chairman; and in what instances he has not appointed any Commissioner a Justice of the Peace for the Town, as authorised by the Act."
